Whole Pet Veterinary Center

Today was our first visit at Whole Pet and we were impressed with the quality of care and costumer service. Not only was this first visit free (wow!) but the nurse and vet were very knowledgeable and so friendly and quick with the uncomfortable part of the care. My very anxious puppy didn’t even realize and the shot was already in! The dogs stay on a non-slip mat on the floor, get toys and treats, it was really care on their eye-level 😊 we will be happily going back for our next visit.

Whole Pet has very friendly staff; however they have a one-size fits all mentality especially when it comes to vaccinations. They gave my shih tzu puppy the Lyme vaccine at 4 months in January. When she threw up almost immediately, they sent me home anyway, telling me to give her Benadryl. I did, but her face swelled anyway, and we ended up in the emergency room. The doctor there told me the Lyme vaccine is not a core vaccine, and there was no good reason for it to have been administered when it was. This was never discussed with me at Whole Pet.

We've had a few veterinary offices throughout both mine and my husband's life with different pets. We moved to Westford not too long ago and needed a new vet that was closer. Whole Pet Veterinary Center, in my opinon, is outstanding. It's not what they do that sticks out necessarily but how they do it. I love how they've handled both our senior dog and our little napoleon-complex-puggle thats younger, full of energy, and wants to establish dominance 😂 (pic of them for reference). They're great with humans too! Wonderful communication with genuine concern🤍

I recently had a first visit with Whole Pet for a wellness check and vaccinations for my 8yo Rez dog Popcorn. My first impression was that parking and getting inside felt safe with the dog, they are well off the main road. This is important. The facility is clean and modern. The support staff were as friendly as people who care for animals need to be, and they were competent and attentive, giving Poppy and I confidence. The attending doctor was highly knowledgable and patient with my many questions, and was an instant best friend to Poppy. The cost of this visit was in line with what the market bears. I have, and will continue to recommend Whole Pet.

I Brought my dog to Whole pet today, my dog was not acting like herself so I brought her in to be seen, the tech and vet asked me her symptoms, saw us for about 30 seconds and said we will be right back with the cost, they wanted $1000 for blood work and a spot ultrasound I expressed I didn’t have that on me at this very moment but I will figure out a way I just need a minute, The VET tells me if u can’t afford the tests you won’t be able to afford a $2500 surgery so instead of letting your dog suffer you should put her to sleep TODAY, not even knowing what was actually wrong with my dog.. I was in shock paid the “free new patient exam fee” which was actually $120 + $10 PPE and walked out in tears.
