My mom has a 10 week old puppy that suddenly started having some extremely gross and severe bowel movements. We took her to another emergency vet when her symptoms first started, they forgot about us and then sent her home without running any test. We decided to bring her here to VEHC and the staff was extremely attentive, understanding of our concerns, and worked really hard to help us figure out what was going on with this sweet baby. They made sure that we knew what was going on every step of the way, and really put us at ease with the level of care we knew mom's sweet girl would be receiving. Thank you for your help and providing us and sweet Sophie with next level care.
I can’t say enough good things about every single one of the staff members at this clinic. To put it simply: you probably won’t find another emergency clinic with staff more kind, caring, attentive, detail-oriented, and talented than this one. I’d give 100 stars if I could. Also, for what it’s worth, Rumble wants to drag me IN to the building when we come for blood donations, so this clinic has his stamp of approval too! It’s an enormous relief knowing that every single person has your pet’s best interest at heart and takes it very seriously. I appreciated the way everyone was so careful to accommodate Rumble’s drug sensitivities during surgery. I have the utmost trust in each doctor we’ve met here (Dr. Karriker, Dr. Troy, and Dr. Telenko) and I appreciate everything they do. Every Tech
I have been here 3 times, 2 of those was being with my friend for her dog to donate blood! They’ve all been great and this past Friday I had to unexpectedly take my 7 pound dachshund in as she had a bowel movement like usual except her anal gland just stayed swollen. I haven’t dealt with anal gland issues in my 15 years of being a dog owner so this set true panic into me. We took my girl in within 45 minutes and the staff there was just amazing. They recognized us from when we came to have my friends dog donate blood and they quickly got to the bottom of it. They told me to wait 24 hours before bringing her back if she had not had a bowel movement. My overprotective nature called the moment it hit 24 hours without a BM and they assured me to just wait a little bit longer. Within the follow
I’m so disappointed, heartbroken, and emotionally all over the place writing this. The staff was kind, but kindness does not replace communication, clarity, or accountability especially in an emergency situation where time was repeatedly emphasized as crucial. Our dog, Sasha, passed away here yesterday, and I’m left with far more questions than answers. I truly feel like I chose the wrong emergency vet, and that feeling will stay with me forever. Here is what happened: I called the vet at 12:17 a.m. and arrived at 12:58 a.m. Sasha was taken straight to the back. We were told very quickly that time was crucial and that she needed emergency surgery. At 1:48 a.m., we were brought in to see her before surgery. During this entire time, the focus felt heavily placed on collecting payment. While
VEHC took care of my baby and me during the worst day of our lives. it’s been over 4 months and i still have a hard time writing this, but i feel it’s important. on april 4, 2025, i noticed my 4 year old tuxedo cat named Pickle was in respiratory distress. she was diagnosed asthmatic and despite her inhaler and meds, would occasionally have these flair ups. not wanting to risk it, i took her to our normal vet (Petfolk) and had her admitted. pretty rapidly she started to decline. Petfolk decided it was in her best interest to send her to VEHC for emergent treatment. Petfolk was gracious enough to have two vet nurses drive their personal car with an ambu bag with my baby to get her to VEHC safely, where she was immediately admitted. VEHC provided PHENOMENAL care for my sick baby and did ever
