Vance County Animal Shelter

Not sure how to rate a kill shelter, but I got my six month old puppy from here and I’m very satisfied. The adoption process was not complicated and the staff were wonderful. The shelter did not smell bad like other shelters I had previously experienced.

I have contacted them twice for stray dogs or puppies, each time the officer was kind, empathetic towards the animals, offering gentle treatment while getting them into their truck. Such nice people and very responsive.

I went to the shelter today and spoke with officers Cash and Trout. They were so kind and helpful with giving advice for my little puppy. I want to thank them so much for taking time to talk with me and the assistance they gave me. They couldn't have been any nicer or more helpful!!

The employees that work here are amazing. They can handle any animal, anytime and are very hard working, compassionate people. The building itself is incredibly clean, as I Volunteered and saw the entire interior. They treat the animals very well, and clean their enclosures while also sanitizing them. I was very impressed

We adopted Balto,now Milo,a beautiful husky, a few days ago ,and everybody was so helpful and informative on the questions we asked. We are so happy. He is so loved. Please adopt .
