The Pet Spa at Barkley Square

We have two Pomsky puppies that needed their first “official” grooming. In the past, our dogs have been short haired so it was easy for us to do at home. Cooper and Kitty have so much hair that now we will have to rely on the professionals. I didn’t think it was possible for them to be any cuter than they already were…but here they are…even more cute and cuddly!! They warmed up to the staff instantly and the staff lovingly welcomed them. We look forward to our next visit!!

Lisa has been our dog groomer for over 20 years. She has cared for our last 3 dogs and now is caring for our newest addition!! Her grooming talents go way beyond just cutting hair. Attached is Ollie’s latest hair cut from Lisa. She cares for each and every animal with such love, care, gentleness, and efficiency!!! Barkley Square is great. The owner in the Falls Church location makes her own dog treats, essential oil-based products and paw pad creams to protect against the heat on their summer walks. There is calming music when you enter and the slight scent of essential oils reinforces a calm and inviting place. I can’t imagine taking my dog to any other groomer. I can’t say enough about Barkley Square. They are so helpful, professional and love my baby boy as much as I do (and that’s a lot). The owner Kristina is so kind and helpful. I have been bringing my bernedoodle to them since he was a puppy. She has given me so much knowledge and tips and tricks on keeping my Lynyrd happy and healthy. Lynyrds Groomer Soo is THE BEST! Lynyrd is so excited when he sees her. She takes pictures of what I’m looking for and always hits the nail on the head. I feel comfortable and confident leaving Lynyrd with them. They even send me pictures of him during his grooming session. Highly recommend!! 🤍

I have been searching for a good groomer since moving from out of state and I couldn’t have been happier with my and my dog’s experience here. My shih tzu is usually nervous at the groomer, so I’m always a little anxious trying somewhere new, but the team was incredibly sweet and attentive with her. She was shaking when I brought her in, and George took the time to sit with her and comfort her as she watched me leave, making sure she felt safe and secure. They got started with her right away and even sent me an update with a progress photo and a note that she was doing great, which I really appreciated. They gave me a twenty-minute heads-up before she was finished so I could be there the moment she was done. To top it off, they sent Luna home with a little holiday toy, which was such a t
