We recently had such a wonderful experience at PetSmart that I just had to share! My husband and I went there to start our very first fish tank, and we ended up buying guppies and baby fry, along with their food, accessories, and a tank setup — and the entire experience was truly unforgettable. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. Since I have never had fish before, I had so many questions — and they took the time to patiently answer every single one. They explained how to properly care for guppies, how to set up the tank, how to feed them, and what to expect with fry. I never felt rushed or dismissed. Instead, I felt supported and encouraged. PetSmart isn’t our go-to anymore for dog food since we have closer local options, but we still enjoy stopping in when we’re in Newark. They have a huge selection of fish, birds, and other critters, which makes it fun to browse. It’s also a great place to pick up something special for our furry friends at home.

I took my puppy to PetSmart to be groomed. I requested a puppy trim, which he did receive. I was worried about his experience since his 1st experience left me taking him to his vet due to blood in his eyes from being over stressed or who knows. Sarah groomed Latte and I was pleased when picking him up. His eyes looked exactly like they did when I dropped him off. It was a better experience. Thank you Sarah O

Brought my papillon in for a bath and a haircut yesterday. I told them upfront that my dog has anxiety. Emalee was very nice and assured me that she was great with anxious dogs. She made me feel like I was leaving my baby in good hands. Unfortunately when I picked my dog up, I was massively disappointed in what had been done to my beautiful girl. It’s like they weren’t even trying to get her even. She had one mat behind her ear, a small dreadlock, so I paid the dematting fee and would have understood a little choppiness there. Her entire body is choppy. One side of her face was cut shorter than the other. One of her paws looked significantly bigger than the others because of how uneven they were trimmed. Very clean & friendly place. I love the staff here, & they are so accommodating to you & your pets need no matter the type of animal. I always shop here first for all my pets needs. Although I haven't had very much luck with the live fish sales here. Although there is always a helpful associate working in that department. As an update their tanks now spear to be better maintained. I will definitely have to purchase some to try out. The animals & staff are out of this world and continue to such make it a very friendly environment to both people and pets.
