Great staffing at East Longmeadow PetCo. Purchased my birds there and the staff helped me pick out a cage and bird toys and food. Would recommend this store to everyone who has pets.

The staff at the East Longmeadow Petco are always so sweet and helpful. Our dog gets so excited to come in and see all his friends. Great experience every time.

This location is not a full-on store. I'd call it a "convenient store". What I mean is, you will find shelves stocked with food for your dogs & cats, but other items that are associated with pet supplies are limited. Need a cage for a hamster? You will find 1 or 2 on a shelf. Looking for an amazing aray of cat toys? You'll be lucky to find a handful of those things. Even small pet food (think bunnies, reptiles, etc) only take up an 1/8 of shelf space! This is a small location. You would be better off at the Boston Rd location for more variety and options of those types of pet supplies. While I'm not happy with store stock, this location does sell a variety of animals and fish. They also offer dog grooming, dog training and vet services on certain days. I went in last weekend to pick up some stuff for my dog and was pleasantly surprised by how well organized the store was. They had a good selection of food brands, toys, and grooming products. The staff was friendly and didn’t rush me, even though I took a while deciding on a new harness. Prices were about average, maybe a bit cheaper on some items. The store was clean and smelled nice too, which is always a plus for a pet place. Overall, a good experience and I’d come back again.

Other than some high prices, I find the East Longmeadow location to have a superior staff. They are all helpful. If someone doesn't know the answer to a question, they will find someone who does. We have also had a great experience with Danny, regarding dog training.
