This place is trash and shady. I adopted a cat under the impression it was INDOOR, and she's not! Luckily, I was able to rehome her to my father's house, as I lived in an apartment, so an outdoor cat wouldn't work well. Everything was fine and we had a nice routine going. However, a new neighbor moved in next door and their male cat was un-neutered. This caused a lot of unbearable behaviorial issues for my cat and I reached out to Lost Dog. Basically, they made me jump through hoops for nothing and they only offered to help if I removed my negative review. This place is TRASH and I would not recommend. This whole experience has been traumatic for my family and myself. I never want another cat from an adoption agency again!

We have had such an amazing experience with this rescue, they were so honest and so helpful with everything. It went so smoothly and all of the people we talked to were so kind. We are so thrilled to adopt our newest fur baby! Definitely one of the best rescues I have gone through!

This dog and cat rescue is very dedicated in regularly bringing in dogs and cats from shelters that need help rehoming them. I have been volunteering here for more than 5 years in many different capacities including fostering, walking dogs, exhibiting dogs at events, photographing dogs, and even helping at the information desk where we home some of the dogs. There is a lot of success in finding homes! For example, last week 23 dogs found homes and many cats! Fosters get a lot of help with the animals they take into their homes. It is a fun place to volunteer with a lot of flexibility. For example, in the Dogventure program, you can check out a dog for an afternoon or weekend, then bring it back when you're 9-5 resumes! This is a great organization for rescue and adopting dogs! The adoption fee might seem high but once you meet these animals and see how well cared for they are, you’ll find that it’s a bargain. I attended one of their events at a PetsMart the same day I visited multiple shelters. I am grateful for the work of shelters and kennels but it was an upsetting experience trying to meet dogs there. It was a world of difference at an LDCRF event. Many animals were with foster families who were available to answer questions about individual rescues. While I walked away from my first event without adopting, I came back the next day and met the same family who were fostering two mountain cur puppies. I decided to adopt then and there. The adoption process was quite smooth and even enjoyable.

Sheer luck that I got to go home with the most perfect dog in the whole world. Typically with rescues you never what what their situation was, and how they will react in a new home. I adopted Sandy in September of 2021, and it was truly the best decision I have even made. Lost dog and cat rescue foundation truly care about all the animals that are in their care. If I'm ever looking to adopt another dog this rescue would be my first choice to look at
