Kaitlin was an absolute gem, she talked me through each of the dogs I had the pleasure of meeting and was extremely kind. I know those pups are in great care because of her and her coworkers. If you’re looking to adopt, this is the place to go. Adopt don’t shop

Amazing people. Amazing place. I was at risk of having to surrender my furbabies.. not wanting to.. Then I was recommended HAP. Who offered to foster them temporarily until I could get back on my feet. And if by chance, I have to surrender them, I know they would be together and in a loving home. Everyone was so sweet, and I even met the ones who were taking my boys in. (I dont think that's too common. Depending on the fosters) They were also very sweet and loved the boys immediately. I can't wait to get mt life together and get my boys back.. even tho I just dropped them off. 😭😭😭

I can't say enough good things about the medical staff at HAP! They saved my dog's leg and I will forever be grateful for Dr. Lohmann and all the medical staff. My dog had orthopedic surgery done for a fracture repair at a specialty facility last December. Fast forward to this summer, her plate in her bone became infected and her surgeon recommended removal which he quoted us an astronomical amount for. We had already spent a ton on the initial surgery so spending a lot more for another surgery was not an option for us. The only other option was amputation of her leg if the plate could not be removed. I called around to local shelters to see if anyone would be willing or able to remove the plate and Dr. Lohmann reviewed my dog's surgery records and emailed me right back saying she would be

Just adopted the newest edition to our family today, Squishy! She’s a great girl & we love her 💕 the adoption process was quick and easy and the staff is amazing, friendly, and passionate! Super happy with everything! Thank you for the great service!

We visited for the first time on a very busy Saturday so we were there about an hour before being called but we didn't mind the wait. We were there to adopt 1 or 2 cats and were in luck as they had a bonded pair of siblings. The staff were very knowledgeable about each and every animal and could tell us anything we asked, which was very refreshing and helped up immensely in deciding that the pair were a good fit for us. We were able to take them home that day and they are already making themselves at home. We are very pleased with our experience and our new furry family members Nick and Jess. Definitely recommend.
