Harlingen Urgent Vet

Very friendly and attentive staff. I took my dog because she was not eating and having diarrhea. They explained all the procedures they were going to do and gave us the price breakdown before doing the procedures. The test results were then explained to us and the medication they were going to administer was also explained in great detail. The whole process took about 2 hours and it was our first time here. The doctor even mentioned that if we had any concerns or questions to call the office and she’d be happy to speak with us. Would definitely bring my dog back.

I brought Frankie in today to be seen for some mouth issues. We were a walk in patient and we're seen within 15-20 mins of our arrival. Kristina, our tech, was very welcoming and attentive. She even brought Frankie a blanket so he wouldn't have to be on the cold table. Dr. Martinez was very quick in her exam and thorough in her explanation. The cost was discussed up front before anything was done. We left HUV feeling pretty good. Today was a walk in visit but I believe we have found our new veterinary home. Frankie and I thank you both for taking such good care of us. Already seeing small improvements since he got his medicine.

Took in my pup yesterday Sunday for strong reverse sneezing episodes with fear that maybe she had gotten something stuck in her nose or hurt her trachea. We drove from Brownsville because her usual vet was booked out. I wish I could give this place 6 stars seriously. The staff is freaking great. They got me an appointment immediately once I called. Doc is so kind, positive, & knowledgable. She explained everything in great detail to me including how to administer medication & let me choose what I could & couldn't afford for my pup in advance. She even made sure to have all my pups medication prepared as a suspension because she's a drama queen who hates swallowing pills. The prices & service are so good for Urgent Care compared to sooo many other places here in the valley. I came out with

My big boy was having some issues that his vet recommended be seen urgently. He is a very BIG boy, but in no way aggressive. He is just loud and intimidating. Alex greeted us immediately and was very welcoming. My boy loved him. Once he smells you, and you pet him, you're his friend. He took us to a room so we did not scare anyone with his bark. Totally understandable. Alex was with my boy the whole time. He layed on the floor and rubbed his belly while the Doctor went over results. I believe my big baby may have out weighed him, if not pretty even, but it's about the confidence in your work with animals, especially large breeds, that is important. Alex went above and beyond for my by, Riggs. He was in a new place, with new people. And Riggs made Alex his new friend. Thank you, Alex! 🐾🐾🐾

the staff was super friendly and helpful! i walked in and they saw us almost right away (plus there wasn’t a lot of people at that time)! my dog is kinda skeptical around new environments and people, but after a few minutes she relaxed. the doctor and nurse were amazing with her, very gentle and made sure she was comfortable. she got her rabies shot and trimmed her nails. i’m also very skeptical when it comes to taking my dogs to vets/clinics but i’m very glad i found them because they were amazing! i’m glad they take walk in’s as well cause the closest er is in mcAllen, so this was a life saver. i’m DEFINITELY going to keep taking my girls here!
