Golden Years Dog Sanctuary

I've had the same issue with other reviewers. Susan LeTourneur had stated on the neighbor site that she doesn't have enough volunteers. She kept urging me to fill out their volunteer application form without a visit or answers to my questions about available volunteer times. The volunteer coordinator, Julie Fay Ashborn, told me that she'd call me the next day, but I never heard back.

My dog was brought here back in September 2022 when she was stolen/taken from me AFTER 12 YEARS TOGETHER! She died January 8 2024. Some caring older man had her her last 6 months. I know she died of a broken heart 💔. And I AM SO SORRY MOMMA! BUT I never gave up looking for you and your sister.( Bailey)who is doing great. Thank God. I miss you and know you are my guardian angel. Know that I deeply love you and will not forget you. Be with Ethan. (MY son died 01/11/22) You both need each other and I need you to watch over me. Golden Years is awesome for helping take care of senior dogs that few people want. We adopted a kitten from them. The fees were so much lower than other rescues and the kitten is just the sweetest and happiest. She was a feral cat who's momma got eaten and she has made best friends with all of our cats.

It's wonderful place full of happy senior dogs run by two very people, Susan and Paul. I adopted a senior dog from them as he's been a total blessing. Just because the dogs are old does not mean they are useless. Save a senior dog today!
