Their customer service is horrible. Please do not buy anything from them. Melissa specifically is disgusting. They are nasty and the supervisor is no better. The product brakes about once a year and you have to pay them $250 every time it breaks. If you need parts they don't let you order them. They have an F on the better Business bureau. My cat passed away and I didn't use it for a few months and was told it can be dangerous for my cat to use. Wow is all I can say. Runnnn

Im reaching out to inform you that after 1 year of use, my cat genie ai has had nothing but issues. I got it 12/21. It started giving me trouble after only a year, and then now no longer will become fixed. It's a drainage issue, its the light guide, the scoop broke, the hopper is full of hair, one thing after another over and over again. Now it doesn't even tell me what's wrong. It just sits there full of pee and poop water. I've completely cleaned the Whole unit. It's basically worthless, and I wish I never bought it. I just need you to know your product should have had these flaws, Prevented. You advertise no more cleaning the litterblx every week, yet I have to and its far more disgusting. We've been Cat Genie 🐈 owners for many years and for the first time had an issue with 2 cleaning cartridges that wouldn't work. I called customer service and Megan was very helpful, had me put the cartridges in the machine and she could hear the A.I. respond that it could not recognize the cartridges. She sent me 2 replacement cartridges with a return shipping label to send back the bad ones. Great customer service!

I have loved my unit and been a proponent for a long time. However, after some recent issues, I called customer service. I was told that a cartridge that came brand new to me and didn't work out of the package was unfortunate, but nothing to be done. When I pushed, I was told I could send it back, but would get reward points awarded to my account, and not a refund. When I explained that I was in Canada, and shipping rates direct from cat genie are exorbitant ($60 USD for a $30 USD order), I was told that was unfortunate, but nothing could be done. Given what I know of shipping costs and options, I find it ridiculous that the cost is so high, and that the company will make no effort to provide other options.
