Dr. Bowles was able to identify why my dog, Eden, was having issues with food. Diagnosis was spot on and as Eden has progressed, has far fewer instances of symptoms. Then, when we were visiting VA from PA, she bolted and was on the run for 16 days. Dr. Bowles cared and helped to spread the word, notifying shelters, activating her microchip, etc. When Eden finally "surrendered" to a caring family early in the morning, she was the one to pick her up, evaluate and care for her, giving Eden another rabies shot since she was due in just a few months, to be on the safe side. I have my healthy dog, thanks to Dr. Bowles and the caring staff at Burke Forest! They are angels with big, caring, and loving hearts who require no wings!

Burke Forest Vet has been out vet for over twenty years. This past year we had an emergency diagnosis and surgery for our beloved German Shepherd who had a 15 lb spleen tumor. The entire care team handled it with urgency and grace to remove the tumor and bring Kona back to full health. Here’s a picture of him going home from surgery looking a little dopey and pictures from this summer where he is living his best life and we are grateful for him and Burke Forest everyday!

Burke Forest has been our vet for almost two years since we relocated here. I have never had a bad experience. I’ve seen all three vets and felt like they are all caring and experienced. They have given us treatment options and were upfront about pricing. The staff have always been great to work with us. When I had to say goodbye to my beloved Guinness, Dr. Mollema went above and beyond for myself, my husband and my kids. She was so kind and answered my kids questions. We didn’t feel rushed in the process and it made a painful experience as good as it could be.

My buddy Reno needed to have surgery to remove a tumor from his chest. Naturally, I was apprehensive about this procedure and searched around for a veterinarian who would offer the level of care that my friend deserved. After some positive recommendations from people familiar with Burke Forest I decided to send Reno there for his operation. I could not be happier with the treatment he received! The surgery was successful, the follow up was thorough, the concern for him was sincere. I am grateful to the wonderful staff and especially the doctor for giving Reno a second chance to live a long life.
