Very caring and professional experience. My pug needed emergent surgery and I was kept well informed and abreast of everything involved in her care. The doctor performing the surgery met with me and explained her plan of care and the doctors providing her aftercare communicated twice daily with updates, Pet insurance would have helped ease the cost, but unfortunately, like most pet owners, this was an out-of-pocket expense, but Lily is home now and doing well. I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome.
Love that there is an Opthamology practice in the Newark, DE area. Front desk people were attentive and caring, the Vet Techs gave my dog true, patient-first care. It was more about him. The costs were high. 😞 I know , 'what did I expect for specialist care?' But still, costs were high. Definitely tested for all possibilities and even tried to test in rounds to prevent unnecessary tests.
Our two and a half year old Cane Corso (Dozer) was brought to Blue Pearl after our vet could not help him with his symptoms of vomiting and bowel problems. He was brought to Blue Pearl as an emergency case, specifically for an Ultrasound diagnostic test. The facility didn't have anyone scheduled to perform the Ultrasound and there was a 2 day delay in getting the test completed. After the test, it was confirmed that he had inflammatory bowel disease and not a blockage like the doctors expected. The new treatment provided some improvement and we brought Dozer home after a week at Blue Pearl. Unfortunately, within 24 hours of getting him home we realized that he was still vomiting, regurgitating food, and unable to have normal bowel movements. After further consultations we decided
We were referred to Blue Pearl Pet Hospital by our vet for our cat Satchmo for inflammatory bowl disease and possibly cancer. We met with Dr. Fredericks and discussed plans for an endoscopy and/or a biopsy. Because of his condition we had to opt out but we were very appreciative of Dr. Fredericks professionalism and her honesty. We would like to thank her and all of her staff for their kindness and getting a quick appointment.
Blue Pearl has been awesome for our pitbull Bubba Chuck. He started with them for ophthalmology. They just diagnosed him with lymphoma. They have been compassionate and have been able to assist us when no one else could. Their staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I am so appreciative for the care we have received from Blue Pearl.
