I have been bringing my pets (4 dogs and 1 cat) here for years now and have always had a great experience. Dr. Benson and his staff are friendly and always attentive to my pets needs. I am forever grateful to Dr. Benson and his staff for saving my puppy coco’s life who was at the brink of death. I have several dogs who are reactive and the staff are always helpful and gentle in caring for them. My dogs have never been afraid or uncomfortable at the hands of BAH staff. 1/28/2026 I brought in my reactive dog and was greeted by the staff , they were gentle and kind to my dog who was scared. They were able to keep him calm , which to my surprise is not how my reactive dog is. I’m glad to say I will keep bringing all of my pets here as I believe they are in good hands here.

My dog Reese has been a patient of Benson Animal Hospital since he was 8 weeks hold. Over the years Dr. Randy Benson, Dr. Sophie Benson and sfaff veterinarians have given Reese extraordinary care. The staff members are professional, courteous and most helpful to assist. Reese is now 12 1/2 years old and still is under the care and watchful eyes of Benson Animal Hospital. Went to the Bensons for our cat who was in terrible shape and whom got no help from our previous vet. They were very reactive and immediately identified diabetes, taking great care of our baby and guiding us through insulin and syringes. That said we find the service particularly expensive, it is definitely a dent in our budget. Nevertheless, it comes with a really high quality of service and attention for our cat, which we are very grateful for. The Bethesda prizes on the walls talk for themselves!

I have been taking my animals, cat and dog, to this clinic since they were babies. Today, I had a completely awful experience and don’t think that I’ll be returning. The prices have always been high, but today they were outrageous. Nevermind that, I brought my 4.5 year old cat in for her yearly wellness “exam” (she couldn’t see her usual vet Dr Benson firstly as that was changed on us first thing this morning) for which I was charged $101 when they also had construction going in the room right next door. The loud power tools constantly on severely stressed my cat who has never behaved badly at the vet or groomer. I was so upset seeing her distress that I couldn’t help but cry. The vet is a stressful experience for animals in the first place, so they should NEVER be doing loud construction
