Weller Kennels/Dog Obedience

Anthony and staff have done an excellent job with our two dogs. Our first was in 2018, and we were so impressed, we brought another in Jan/Feb 2026. Definitely a good value for your dollar!

Anthony is a wonderful trainer- and came highly recommended by a friend. We took our very sensitive Catahoula puppy for obedience training and had a wonderful experience. Anthony knew she was sensitive and was very mindful of her personality throughout her training. We got our pup back with a solid obedience foundation and her personality intact and confidence beginning to be built. He communicated effectively to make sure we understood how to maintain what our puppy was taught. We will continue to utilize Anthony and his expertise in the future and highly recommend him to others.

I want to give a HUGE shout out and thank you to Anthony Abernathy at Weller Kennels. It was a big decision of where to send our babies for gun dog/ duck hunting training and we definitely made the best decision! I was super nervous about the whole experience going into it, but the very first time we met Anthony, I knew they were going to be just fine and in the best hands. Through our monthly trips there (we are from Maryland!) to check in on their progress, it was evident that these dogs love Anthony and he created such a strong bond with them from day one. Anthony was there to answer any questions and always made us feel confident and at ease. And the progress these dogs have made with him was absolutely incredible. They had our big girl trained in just 4 weeks. As long as you continue a routine with your fur baby after you bring them home, you'll have no issue at all! My pit/ boxer/ bull mastiff mix is an angel (for the most part; she's still a baby!) thanks to our friends at Weller!

John and his team run a first class training facility on beautiful grounds. My lab has been with John for several months and has made great strides in his training, recently attaining his akc senior title. John's experience and dedication to his dogs is second to none.
