Verdigris Pet Hospital and Emergency Care

We have followed Dr. Greenlaw from Morehead to New Bern. I truly feel there is not another vet in our area who is as caring and kind. We have two fur babies, Bella and Tank, who see this practice regularly and each time we are treated with warmth and care. Tank is a frequent flyer to this practice due to his Addisons disease and each time the team is absolutely amazing! They not only step up during challenging times, but they are also compassionate. We recently had to put down our senior dog Bella, which was an extremely difficult decision. The staff was caring and stayed with us until the end. My geriatric miniature pinscher needed care for an emergency eye issue, and they were fantastic! The facility is clean, beautiful and peaceful and the staff was great from reception to the assistant and doctor. We were seen promptly, they handled her with great care (she’s not the best patient in her old age) and they gave me options for care to best fit our needs. The price was very affordable as well. As someone who works in the veterinary field, it can be stressful to take your own pet somewhere new but I was very impressed and would highly recommend this facility to anyone. We will be back without hesitation should the need arise in the future!

From the outside to the inside of this place, I absolutely loved it. The building itself is so modern, very clean and inviting. Everyone I encountered during my puppy’s first visit was amazing. I knew we were in the right place when they loved my dog just as much as me. From the front desk, vet techs, to the veterinarian. They treated us so kindly and they made sure to love on my puppy extra during her visit. I could not recommend this place enough! Beyond glad we made the switch.

After moving from across the country to Havelock, my husband and I decided to start primary care for our three pets at Verdigris even though we had vet offices closer to us. We’ve been for many routine appointments for our dogs and cat, all for which the staff was lovely, helpful, and honest. We recently had a tragic emergency involving our kitty (he had head trauma, very scary) We were turned away at every vet close to us and decided to call Verdigris even though we would have to drive further. God bless the staff for being available 24/7 to answer the phones. Our nightmare situation was saved by their team and we were able to see the doctor almost immediately even though he was off site when we called. I was sent to Verdigris by our primary vet for surgery, as it was getting late into the evening, to remove a foreign body (sock) that our German shepherd decided to have to dinner. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with care and compassion. The techs and assistants were so patient with my nervous pup, sitting on the floor with her to make her feel as comfortable as she could feel in a new place while not feeling well. She was in and out of surgery within the hour and stayed for overnight monitoring which provided me much peace of mind. Dr. Greenlaw and his team called me 2 times overnight to keep me updated through the whole process. Verdigris is also the only emergency clinic I have been to that follows up 2 days after your visit to make sure things are going well. Thankful to
