Urban Mutt Retreat

Outstanding! Daisy had her first doggie daycare stay and she came home wagging her tail, slept hard, and was thirsty - the trio of hallmarks that she ran and played and enjoyed herself. The last few daycares she visited, she had come home with her tail and ears lowered with a lot of energy. Not the fault of those daycare, just a matter of finding the daycare that fits your dog's personality. And Daisy loved these friendly professional folks and their giant expanse of fenced in manicured grass to run in. There are huge shade trees dotted about so dogs can be out of the direct sun, if they choose. We saw pictures of the whole gang on the Urban Mutts Facebook page, taken in the morning and afternoon and our happy dog was grinning and active. Well done, UMR!

I really want to take a moment to acknowledge the staff at Urban Mutt Retreat—Jason and Trinity are absolutely wonderful! They are always attentive, caring, and I feel very comfortable leaving my babies in their hands. The workers here are the heart of this place, and they do an amazing job. That being said, it’s disappointing to see that the owners are not keeping the facility up to date. The grass is so overgrown that when I come to pick up my dogs, I can’t even see them playing. It also makes driving in a bit unpleasant. On top of that, the countertop at the front is loose—I almost fell and dropped everything I was carrying because of it. The staff truly deserve better support from ownership, and the dogs (and their owners!) deserve a safe, well-kept environment. I really hope the own

We appreciate everyone at UMR for always taking care of Mack! He loves his time there and leads us into the check-in desk when we arrive. The staff at UMR will put newcomers at ease (including pet parents 😊) and will welcome those returning as family! Mack lives near Little Rock, but his vacation home is Cypress. Thanks again for another great week for Mack!

When we originally started boarding our dogs here, it was advertised as almost like a spa like experience for the pups. That they would only go out in a single pack with the dogs they came with and the facility was very well kept. I'm not sure if maybe they switched owners, but the last couple times we have boarded the dogs here, the grounds don't look well maintained and they have let our dogs out with a huge pack even after specifying we would prefer not to have that happen.

Typically, we avoid day-care and/or boarding at all costs. However, we recently dropped off our pups for a doggy daycare from 7 AM - 5 PM. They had a BLAST! The photos on Facebook are great, keep it up UMR! In previous years, our dogs have not enjoyed being boarded here, but there seems to have been some employee turnover that really made these pups happy!
