The Upper Paw

The Upper Paw has some very cute merchandise, but there are a few things people should be aware of before visiting. The location itself is fairly inconvenient for anyone who’s out of town, and the store is very small. If you have a reactive dog or a dog that needs space, maneuvering inside can be difficult due to the limited room. That said, the Valentine’s Day collar selection was adorable, and we did purchase one. The store also has a nice variety of homemade treats, toys, bandannas, and accessories like hats and sunglasses, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, it’s a charming shop with fun items, but the tight space is a major consideration—especially for dogs that don’t do well in close quarters. I hope this helps other pet owners plan accordingly.

One of the best stores in Dallas for dog owners! The amount they have in this store ensures you can find what you are looking for. The best part is they have toys and brands that you wish the big box store would carry. Their prices are fair and the staff are ALWAYS helpful and friendly to both you and your K9. We are a queer couple and we have always felt welcomed and appreciated when we visit, especially when we bring our pup. I cannot recommend this store enough! Make the trip, give them your money, spoil your pet, and keep your money local!!

Great little pet shop located in the heart of Deep Ellum. Staff is super attentive and friendly. Wide variety of everything you could ever want/need for your pets. If you’re not arriving by foot, there’s a parking lot located on the side of the building. Please don’t let the construction stop you from checking this place out! Now more than ever, local businesses need your help! Shop Small!
