I highly recommend Balanced K9! I sent my dog for their three-week training program, and the transformation has been amazing. She came back calm, well-behaved, and so much more obedient. The difference in her behavior is truly incredible. The team is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and clearly cares deeply about the dogs they work with. I felt completely confident leaving my dog in their hands. I couldn’t be happier with the results!
My family first reached out to The Balanced K-9 almost three years ago, in the winter of 2023. At the time, our one-year-old Shiba Inu had significant behavioral issues, such as resource guarding and biting. We signed him up for the eight-week program, and by the end of the training period, Pudding became more more obedient and his problems were corrected. Luciana and Chuck also taught us many tips on continuing to maintain his now-corrected behavior. His behavior was completely different, and now, almost three years later, Pudding continues to obey his commands and is very affectionate with our family. Since then, Pudding has returned to their care many times as a "Vacation Dog," so much so that we often joke that it is his second home! We are so thankful for Luciana, Chuck, and their ent
I adopted Atticus from what I thought was an extremely safe rescue group located in lower FF County. I took him home on a Thursday evening. Sunday morning I was rushing him to the emergency vet. He was diagnosed with Parvo. I’ve only had him for 2 days. He was so sick. He had to stay in ICU for days. Thank god they were able to save my Atticus. Unfortunately, because of the Parvo, I did not socialize him at all for at least 6 months. (His immune system) His behavior changed as he got older and bigger. The mailman, Amazon, a neighbor at the door or kids in the street playing set him off. Guarding became a real issue. Food. Neighbors on the other side of our fence. You name it, he didn’t like it and let it be known. We couldn’t have family over. He was in control and he k
Wow, Just Wow. We couldn't walk our dog on a leash. When he was on the leash, he would go crazy trying to get away. We saw an aggressive side of our dog and thought we were "working" things out with him. This was not the case, as things became much worse and I was seriously bitten more than once. We couldn't have family or friends over and if we did, he had to be outside while we were inside. We tried crate training, he would angrily lunge at the cage door in protest. We couldn't keep him away from the front window if someone drove or walked by. We have had dogs for 30 years +. We have never had problems like these before and after being bitten, we contemplated euthanizing him. As a last effort, we decided to check into training and let a professional tell us what we should do.
The Balanced K-9 saved our 'lives' and, literally, the life of our dog! We adopted an 8 year old hound mix 4 1/2 years ago. Along with adopting him, we adopted his 8 years of bad habits. He had dog aggression issues (attacked a neighborhood dog 1 mo. after we adopted him to the tune of a $1600 vet bill). He tried to attack truck, kids on skateboards and delivery people in uniform. He torn the curtains off of our windows and destroyed furniture. After working with other dog trainers, to no avail, we decided to try Balanced K-9 on a recommendation from a friend who had sent their dog for training. Our 'boy' came home 6 weeks later a new dog. Although he still gets 'excited' when he sees other dogs, I no longer fear that he will attack. He no longer tries to attack anything that move
