Taylor Veterinary Emergency

I recently had taken my Frenchie there for the second time 2 seperate emergency. I had taking him to the Oakdale vet twice who did x-rays and we're not forthcoming the results when I took him here they were very upfront and honest and we went through all the options and unfortunately had to put Gizmo down the only thing was doing the paperwork and asking about the footprints an extra options that were clay paw print and Brass paw print and I said yes to all of it but then later seen I wasn't charged four any of it. that was the only thing otherwise the staff was very very nice and sympathetic upfront and honest and I really appreciate it I would love to give a shout out to the doctor she was great but I can't find her name anywhere and I was too emotional I think to remember it!! This placed took care of my dog she was only 6-7 months old when she had an intussusception which caused her intestines to become infected the vet crew took care of it. They are flexible wjth payment options. I will be by this week to finish paying off the rest of my sum!

I did not have the outcome expected in this facility. Friday night I noticed some swelling on my dog's neck right side. I took him to Taylor's and asked for assistance and was told there's a long wait I said no problem I have all night don't mind waiting as l No issues there, after they took him back for examination and were done, the Vet comes in and says my dog has too much tartar and his teeth he might have an abscess tooth, she checked all lymph nodes and the only one swollen was on the right side. I asked what can be done? X-rays obviously not cause he needs to be sedated I knew that, she asked with hesitation if I wanted her to try and a needle aspiration. I should've said no because 2 days later underneath his neck and chest is all bruised up. My dog had this type of procedur

On a positive note they did get our cat in quickly. Originally, the bill was $1700 for X-rays and an ultrasound. However, when we requested to leave our cat for overnight observation, they returned with an estimate of $8000!! So basically $6000 for less than one night (it was already past midnight) and our kitty only needed oxygen until we were able to do further diagnostics. $6000 just for an overnight stay!!! Total highway robbery and fraudulent!! Then they tried to push us towards euthanasia or an expedited trip to emergency surgery in Sacramento to the tune of $10k minimum. It felt like a total pressure crunch to make a very expensive decision. Ultimately, we opted to have our kitty sedated with something to make him comfortable and brought him back home with us. Very compassionate and caring staff. Had to have Bella, my daughter’s 11yo Boston Terrier put down last night. The staff were wonderful. Very thoughtful, made us feel like they really cared. Thank you all for your professionalism.
