Smart Paws Resort and Training

I love Smart Paws! I really trust them with my dog Pedro. I boarded him a few times and I never feel like I need to worry about him or his safety while he is there. Pedro is my sweet foster fail crazy boy and I completely trust them with him. He can be a handful but I know they treat him good. We always add a groom at the end of his stay and he smells so good when we pick him up. Thank you for all that you guys do! Edit 2026: I sent Pedro for board and train while I recovered from ACL surgery back in October and they really did a great job with him. It’s like night and day with his behavior. Don’t bother looking anywhere else, you’ve found the trainers you need! Megan and Samantha not only know their stuff, but they offer a direct style that works! It’s not about how we feel with our dogs, but what’s best for them. They break down behavior and dog psychology in an understandable way, they offer group classes that help with exposure to other dogs, and they do all this with honesty and best intentions in mind. We have been using them for our dog Charlie and they have gone ABOVE and BEYOND to help us. It’s not about milking you for every last dime, but actually improving the lives of you and your dog. Very grateful for them to be in this community 🙏.

I went there for a tour and decided not to board my at Sandy Paws. Here is why: As I showed up , there were two cars parked in front of the building with the trunks popped open. In these cars were several dogs in crates ! As I went to the front desk, no one was there to greet me. I looked for a person to help me , and a door was wide open leading to another room, with several dogs whimpering while sitting in crates as well. Finally, someone showed up and I asked about all those dogs sitting in crates as she told me those are their personal dogs. Then I got the tour where I learned that dogs only get 10 min playtime in the play area , IF they come in as a bonded pair. Single dogs only get “5 min” playtime . The person that watched the bonded pair in the play area was sitting in the corn

Wonderful trainers, all the staff very friendly and you get help right away. They have done a great job on my Aussi, mostly trained me how to work her properly. I will aways be in their debt. My dog loves going here. I will miss them so much when I move. Megan and Samantha are the best
