Our puppy Barkley just graduated his 5 day training program! We did puppy class with Cole first, then got Cole as our trainer. When we started, Barkley was the puppy pulling on the leash, jumping up and down, and barking all the time. Now he is able to be a calm and confident dog who has manners. Cole is a great trainer and Barkley was always so excited to see him. He went above and beyond to make sure we understood how everything worked, answering every question we had, and giving us training tips we would have never known about.

Sit means sit is the BEST program out there! We used them for our first husky (Oogie) many years ago and when we got Phineas we knew we had to go through them again! The puppy classes with Cole were very helpful to make a good foundation. We did the 5 week training program. Alex is amazing and tailored the training sessions around Phineas and our needs. Alex really understood Phineas and us as a whole. We also use them for grooming, Chelsea is always amazing! And we can't wait for day camp and group classes! Much love, Britt and Will

We were hesitant about paying a trainer for Oakley, our main issue was leash reactivity and they are 40 minutes away from us. But I am so happy we did. She has made so much progress in just 3 lessons, AND still have 2 more full days of lessons then a year of classes. Our trainer is Marty, does great with Oakley and explains everything to us very simply and answers all our questions. We can tell he really cares about Oakley's progress and her being the best dog she can be for us, which as he explained, may be different from what the best dog is for someone else. Marty has helped us with leash walking, manners and even her eating habits. I would HIGHLY recommend Sit mean Sit.

I would HIGHLY recommend Sit Means Sit to anyone in the Frederick, Maryland area in need of dog training. My wife and I brought our very energetic and compulsive dog here, and they were able to turn her behavior around. They gave us plenty of tools to continue the work at home, and made managing her a complete joy. We had no idea that our dog was capable of such restraint. Previously she was jumping all over guests and pulling excessively on the leash. Not only was that behavior addressed, but she is now comfortable with crates and we can manage/redirect her attention safely even in the presence of her biggest distractions. Cole is an incredible trainer. He gave us clear and concise feedback during every session. He was happy to answer questions, and made sure to focus on our key concerns

Our original day trainer Em and weekly day camp trainer Kayla are a god send. Our dog, Samuel Adams (yes like the beer-and just as wild) is a strong willed boy with a personality that makes it hard not to laugh. Their patience, necessary sense of humor and very clear love for dogs makes training not only effective for the dog but enjoyable for the human. He went from a flirty menace whose ears were merely decorative to a well behaved ladies man whose ears actually serve a purpose. If your dogs personality screams main character, they will absolutely mold that into leading role energy while giving both dog and parent all the support possible. We are so grateful for the community and forever friends we have made through Sit Means Sit Frederick and cannot wait to see you in group class!!
