Outstanding orthopedic veterinary care! Dr. Sams and team performed surgeries on my dog Coco's legs (double TPLO!) with incredible skill and thoroughness. The Sams Clinic team explained everything clearly and was patient with questions. Best of all - Coco is now back to running and playing like her old self - actually, better! She is the happy corgi on the left. We live on the Peninsula, and the drive to Mill Valley was worth it. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

We brought our dog here for her second TPLO surgery, and we’re so glad we did. While it took a little longer than expected to get on the surgery schedule, the wait was absolutely worth it. Her bone healed beautifully in just eight weeks, and she’s already getting back to her normal activities. Our first TPLO, done with a different surgeon in the East Bay, unfortunately resulted in an infection that took months to resolve. This experience with Dr. Sam was completely different. His kind, gentle demeanor and clear understanding that pets are true family members made all the difference.

Dr. Sams is one of the most genuine and caring Veterinarian Specialists I’ve met. He has seen my dog for two different issues and went above and beyond. He discovered the underlying cause of my dog’s limp and connected us with an Oncologist for treatment the same day. I wish Dr. Sams could be our general veterinarian.

Excellent experience here with Dr Whitlock. My only regret is not coming sooner. She diagnosed my Labrador (osteochondritis of the hock) within minutes whereas other vets over multiple years had x-rayed the wrong areas and had suspected other diagnoses. While my dog’s condition is chronic, it is well managed under Dr Whitlock’s suggestions. She is calm, compassionate and patient, making you feel not rushed and comfortable to ask questions. While this care is expensive, I did find the comparable rates competitive for the area and never felt pressured to pay for anything. I am a o grateful to have such a wonderful vet practice in the area. Thank you!
