Rochester Animal Control

Very good to work with. We had a misunderstanding with the wellness of our beloved dog who LOVES to spend his days outside and nap in the freezing temps (70% Siberian husky). Animal control was very understanding and helpful with the policies and procedures. Thank you!

Animal control hasn't even arrived at my house yet and it's been over an hour. The annoying dog I have down the alleyway is going to be long gone and the animal control is taking forever. Friendly service but they take forever to show up. Even the owner that owns the dog will probably gone as well so the problem wouldn't be solved. If anyone sees this dog please report to police or anything cause this dog has been roaming around the Silver Lake neighborhood for over 4 months. Owner does NOT do anything to keep this dog under control.

On two separate occasions now, I've picked up stray dogs, and Rochester Animal Control reunited them with their owners within hours. In my experience, these folks work quickly to help pets find their way back home. The officers have been kind and professional. I'm glad people like them are on duty when there's a pet in need, and I would trust them to help if either of my own two pets ran away.

We had called the police to do a welfare check on a dog that was very malnourished and looked very close to death. We were transferred to animal control where we explained the situation and the lady who answered the phone from animal control was VERY rude, basically stated “what do you want us to do about it?” The fact that there was an animal in need of being rescued and that’s the answer we received is absolutely absurd. Glad to see this is who receiving funds from the public. Shut this place down and actually get some people who actually care about their jobs and the well being of those in need. Would give zero stars if possible. You should all be ashamed of yourselves.
