They have always been a passionate and caring facility, but yesterday I got to witness the true depth of their kindness. My 17 year old cat, Sparks, was unfortunately at the end of her life. It was time to put her to sleep due to medical complications. Not only did Dr. Anderson and her assistant Connie take extra time with me, but they both sat with me after the final shot while I cried. They didn't push me or pressure me to get moving, nor did they seem to care about leaving the room themselves. Their support and reassurance that I had done the best thing for my baby got me through one of the toughest times of my life so far. I cannot praise this facility high enough.
Sad to report that we are very much not satisfied with our care here. Communication is extremely poor. It's very difficult to take time off and get your animals to the vet when there's more than one. We had three appointments scheduled. We received a reminder for 8:20 a.m.. We arrived at 8:20 a.m. only to be told that our appointment was given away at 8:00 a.m. When we showed the reminder email that had a 08:20 listed on that, we were told that the reminder email was wrong, but we were still not going to be able to be seen. We had been driving to the appointment for the previous 20 minutes and had missed the reminder. Text at 8:17 a.m. that we were running late. Not that this makes a difference, it took months to arrange this. If this is how this business is going to be run, we are taking
The entire staff at Quarry Hill are awesome; so knowledgeable, kind & friendly. We have taken our dog and cat there for several years and they have helped us through various events. Everyone there goes above and beyond, techs, doctors, and receptionists alike. They help get us seen promptly when needed, follow up on treatment plans, they have came in on their day off to teach us home wound cares & called us on their day off to ensure our dog had passed a rope toy he had eaten. They took great care of our dog during both a surgery & a hospitalization. They are transparent about pricing & costs which is appreciated. Their passion and love for animals is evident in the wonderful care they provide.
In November 2023, I came home from vacation to a very hurt 1.5 year old cat who was crying in pain. After talking with my cat sitter, I decided to take my cat, Harry to Quarry Hill Park Animal Hospital. Originally I received some very heartbreaking and bad news, he would have to receive two very life altering surgeries to fix his broken leg and that may not be the end of it. Dr. Anderson was kind and compassionate in explaining everything to me. She explained Dr. Silverness could do the first surgery, but then a traveling group of orthopedic veterinary surgeons who come to their office every few months could do the more complex second surgery. Dr. Anderson was tender and kind with my cat, Harry, who has a very adverse and loud personality with vets. After a lot of tears and research, I dec
Dr. Polly Lewis and the entire staff are incredible - knowledgeable, compassionate, and take the time to listen and provide outstanding care and attention. Dr. Lewis and her team diagnosed my dog with Addison’s Disease, a rare condition that is fatal if not treated and recognized early and is often missed until it has reached crisis. Fortunately, Quarry Hill Animal Hospital recognized the symptoms and lab findings early and gave Winnie the treatment she needed and without delay which enabled her to recover quickly. Dr. Lewis and team truly cared about Winnie and our whole family during her treatment. We are so grateful!!!
