Purrfect Cat Rescue

Run by a wonderful owner and fantastic staff. They're truly dedicated to insuring the cats that they place to their forever-homes are a great fit. We got 2 tabbies and we didn't realize how much we missed having spunky brothers running around with our pup!

My family lost our beloved boy of 18 years, and came here wanted to welcome a new kitty into our home. We chose this location because it was cats only and our daughter is afraid of dogs. I found the application process for adoption centers, in general, to be extremely invasive (which seems to be the norm for all shelters), but we were approved to schedule a meeting. I felt judged the moment we walked in the door because the owner didn't like that my cat died of old age in his sleep and we didn't know what was actually "wrong" with him. Also because he was declawed - although not by us - we'd rescued him from the streets when he was abandoned by a neighbor who had moved. We adopted our cats from here recently. Deb the owner and all of the staff were very helpful and informative throughout the process. It is very clear that this shelter cares deeply for their cats. They do reference calls and do not do same day adoptions so that they can ensure that the cats are going to safe and loving homes. All of the cats inside the shelter seem very comfortable and relaxed. The cats roam around the building as it is a cage free shelter, no kill shelter. The shelter is also very clean considering the large amount of cats housed there.

Deb and everyone else we encountered was amazing. We really got to take our time and explore and hang out with the many kittens. My six year old son was there each time and he was always spoken to, asked questions to, and they really took his input and just treated him like he was an important piece of this puzzle. We started the process on Monday evening, visited again Tuesday, and by Wednesday we were able to bring our two babies home! This is my first time having cats, and I have learned so much in my few visits to the rescue!

After looking at many different cat shelters in our area we finally settled on Purrfect Cat Rescue. We walked in late evening on a Thursday and met Chewy, she was absolutely welcoming and sweet despite it being almost closing time. She gave me and my kids (4&8) a tour and let us meet all the kittens. She was especially patient with my boys. After going through the application process (took about 2 days). We were able to take our two new fur babies home. I loved that all the cats are free roaming (separated by age/health) and how caring all the volunteers are. We adopted kitten brothers, Joey and Levi. Chewy was absolutely wonderful and provided us with a great adoption experience.
