Dr. Christina Bemis is the best veterinary doctor ever! I took our dog to three different veterinarians and none of them knew what was wrong with him after a struggle for 8 1/2 weeks, many antibiotics and almost dying. I desperately called Crystal Lake Veterinary Hospital and asked to leave a message to Dr. Bemis. She took her time and called me back and asked for me to come in right away because she thought our dog had blastomyosis. At the vet she was able to get a blood sample and stayed after hours to look at it under a microscope. She started him on an antifungal and we saw remarkable improvements within one day. She also sent the sample out to have it examined at a laboratory and it came back with that diagnosis. She looked at our dog as a whole and addressed all his symptoms. She

The most unprofessional hospital, they don’t care about your dog, all they want is compensation for doctor time. If there’s a chance they can push it to surgery they will cause they’ll make more money of you and don’t care about your animal. Strongly recommend find other vet!

Edit: The response provided is inaccurate. I was told his teeth looked fine and he didn't need a dental (which was backed up by his new vet) and that the lump should only be removed if it keeps causing problems. Dr. Olech did NOT recommend an immediate dental nor did he recommend removal, he only told me the lump should be removed at his next dental if I wanted to be super cautious. I requested an estimate for my own records but nothing on the estimate was personally recommended by Dr. Olech. The response also completely glossed over the terrible service we received.
