Accelerated K9

We met Ben in 2021 when we needed help with our frenchie’s. He came to our place and observed the dogs. Then explained training techniques for the dogs and then gave us guidelines on what we needed to work on 😁. He is patient and answered our 1,000,000 questions and our dogs love him. Our youngest spent a good 2.5 weeks with him as a puppy and he helped him become the dog he is today. What we learned thru this process is that our boys do best with continual training on our part and spending time with Ben. Thanks to him we have two loving dogs who are well socialized and behaved. We feel fortunate to have Ben in our lives and will continue to use his training services indefinitely!

Ben at Accelerated K9 came highly recommended to me as our previous trainer was no longer available. Ben has worked with our Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, Rosie since she was 12 weeks old along with continuous training and refreshers for our 3 year old Wheaten, Jake. Ben has a strong knowledge and understanding of dog behavior and genuinely cares for his dogs. He works with both the dog and the owner and really tailors his training to the individual needs of the dog. He explains in detail the reason for the behavior, what needs to happen to correct it and gives you the tools to work with at home. Ben has been fantastic in helping us with our new German shepherd. He explains her behavior to us and how to teach her to be the best dog that she can be. He teaches us consistency and some simple rules to follow on a daily basis. She has come such a long way after just being with him the first few days. My husband and I highly recommend accelerated K9.

We hired Ben after our puppy displayed some food aggression on his first day in a new daycare. We were first-time dog owners who were pretty horrified to hear that our little man was anything other than the sweet pupper we knew him to be. Ben worked with Izzy at our home, every week for two months, and then three monthly follow-up sessions. He taught us how to use a prong collar and an e-collar, and built up Izzy’s comfort with correction – and ours. He often brought along a dog during training, to distract Izzy or goad a protective reaction. It was hugely helpful for us to see the aggression, and having the other dogs model correct behavior helped Izzy. Izzy is now an incredibly well-behaved and focused doggo who loves to have a job. We took him for his first off-leash hike last weekend

I have a 2 year old mixed breed dog that was becoming aggressive and anxious at home. I found Ben through a Facebook group recommendation, and I have had him come over to our house several times for private lessons. Our Rottweiler/German Shepherd/Pitt mix (what were we thinking?) has really turned around. Ben's one-on-one lessons are always practical, and Ben is flexible with his scheduling. Leash training, e-collar training, plus doorway passing routines, house manners and "place" have dramatically improved thanks to Ben's common-sense and well explained approach. He demonstrates what he wants very clearly, then steps aside to make sure I know what to do. I highly recommend Ben for either class or private lessons! My dog likes him too!
