Great place to adopt your pet. I adopted my Lia from here and she is super great. Staff is friendly. Even though I had a little issue with one of the staff members about my scheduling, that was both of our faults. I misunderstood the date she gave. At least I was able to get my Lia. It was probably for the better, because I know I would have taken the other pets they did have, but adopted out.
I’ve been reaching out to this company for over four months to try and drop off a two year old pit-bull terrier. I was unable to move into my place because I couldn’t get rid of this dog. My ex boyfriend left this puppy with me as if I wanted the dog it was his dog. It seems impossible to get any help from the actual people who can help. I have called a billion times to be ignored or told try outside of our area we can’t help you, we aren’t accepting dog at this time, we have no space. No returned calls or emails. Kind of disappointed that I have to travel over two hours away just for help.
This place is expensive and the people working here belive they own the animals. Its the oddest set up. You can't control if the animals are going to a good or bad home... you just have to hope ans trust they will. But paws and claws wants to keep all their cats in boxes....must be a better life for them???
I adopted one of the hoarded sheltie’s that they received from animal control. They were very good on screening people and very helpful as I called and asked questions. They have a great facility and they do good work.
Adopted a pup from here the other week. On the Whole, the facility was very nice and new inside. The older woman at the front desk was a little gruff, but the woman in scrubs who brought the dog back was very sweet. They had received my dog from a breeder that they have been working with for the last 10 years, but did not have too much information about her or the breeder. Adoption fee was $680 including the spay and microchip. They informed me they do not test for heartworm due to the cost. I would have loved if they had sent me home with one meals worth of her food so that I could mix it in with our food at home, but that didn’t end up being a problem.
