Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary

Amazing experience at Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary! The staff were so knowledgeable and caring, the property was beautiful and clean (even with 200+ monkeys!), and it was so much fun watching the monkeys play in their runs and rest in their hammocks. Learned a lot and had the best time — highly recommend!

This was my 2nd visit to Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary and this time I brought an old high school friend. Sara was our tour guide and she was excellent! She has volunteered here for over 20 years. She knew all the monkey's names, personalities, and histories. My friend and I are in our 60s and a young family joined us on the tour. Sara was very interactive and encouraging and was great with adults and kids alike. The stars of the tour were the monkeys, of course. It was fun to learn about them, take pictures, feed them unsalted peanuts or pecans, and watch their behavior. This tour is wonderful. Our guide, Sara, is knowledgeable, compassionate, kind and made us very comfortable. She welcomed our questions, volunteered to take pictures, offered much information. This tour is educational, insightful and made me glad I am more informed. It was incredibly fun. I went with my 81 year old mother- she enjoyed herself, the tour and the information offered by our guide. It is our third time visiting. The best part about this tour is it is guided on a golf cart - my mobility impaired mother was able to enjoy the entire tour without walking. My mother fed the monkeys, laughed, learned, enjoyed time outdoors. (I did as well). Once we arrived home and during the drive home my mother and I discussed quite a bit what we learned. I just turned 23 and on a whim I chose to tour Jungle Friends Sanctuary. What a cool experience! Many different monkeys to see! Thanks to my tour guide, Sara, I got to see their unique personalities and learn much about their background. It’s amazing what these people do for these animals. They are very thorough with their care, and their spaces are clean and tidy. I’m glad I had the opportunity to visit. I don’t have kids yet but if I did I would definitely bring them haha I think it’s a great family experience as well. I highly recommend if you want to be close with nature while also having a unique experience with animals. 🐒❤️

The tour was extremely informative and one on one. It's very clear that the animals are well taken care of! An amazing experience to hand feed some nuts to some of the monkeys. Definitely bigger than originally thought and completely worth the money!
