Humane Society of the Treasure Coast

The Treasure Coast Humane Society has provided the last 5 of our dogs. My 4th dog passed away after 15.5 years- adopted her as a 3 month puppy. When picking up her ashes, I found this gorgeous girl. She had been found in July as a stray, adopted out in Sept, returned 2 days later due to peeing in house. She gave me the sweetest gentlest kiss. I knew I had to rescue her. This was in Sept 2025. She is the BEST! Urinated in house once ( decompression time) she has only eaten 2 slippers, 2 shoes. LOL She goes everywhere with us. Loves kids, any humane for that matter! Loves other dogs. Take her to dog park a couple times a week to play. Cries or woods at the TV when she sees other dogs. I may have to get her a sibling!

We scheduled our sweet Tamia to be spayed at the Humane Society. They were so nice and gentle with her. I'm so happy we chose this location. Nicole the coordinator was amazing and great to work with. Our princess Tamia is home recovering well.

This past January I went to the Humane Society in search of a working cat. I ended up leaving with three kittens, who were litter mates. The staff walked me through the two week process of getting the kitten acclimated to our property and gave me everything I needed to get started. Almost 10 months later, the kittens turn 1 years old tomorrow and we adore them.

I have only been volunteering for a short time, but so far I love it! The dogs seem to be taken care of very well and the staff is very friendly and helpful. (I only walk dogs so I can only speak about them.) The staff also seems to really care about the animals. I would like to see more paved walking paths but I suppose that is dependent on the land availability. I have also been to one of their stores and it was very clean, well organized, and a very large and affordable inventory. My friend was thrilled with her purchases!

Thank you Humane Society of the Treasure Coast! We have adopted two perfect kitties here and they made the process so easy! Our cats had all the medical treatments they needed before we adopted them. One of our fur babies was older when we adopted her so there was no adoption fee! Thank you for everything you do, our cats make our family so much better!!
