ACC (Applied Canine Concepts LLC)

I could right a paper on how happy we are with ACC - Gina, Fabian and kennel staff. We brought two adult German Shepherds to them for 3 weeks of board and train. To start off these babies had never been boarded or stayed a night away from us, so that was the hard part. While they were in Gina and Fabian’s care we received text, photos, videos, and calls updating us on their training and overall wellbeing. The main issue we were having was reactivity and a little dominance issue with our male. We also wanted to be able to walk them off leash and know they would come when called. Pick up day was an exciting day for all!! We spend quite a bit of time working with Fabian individually with each dog and then them together. ACC was amazing. They changed my spastic puppy from a bundle of out-of-control impulses into a well behaved, pleasant little puppy. But he is not just more pleasant for us; I believe Oakley is also a happier dog for the training he received. To be perfectly honest, I had no idea what I was doing with Oakley before I dropped him off for his training. But what a difference two weeks made! It wasn't only the dog they trained--they also trained me and my whole family. We now feel confident that we can keep Oakley's training in place, and, amazingly that we can continue his training and introduce new things we want him to learn. Our 4 month old Portuguese Water Dog was very impulsive with continuous jumping and biting. She’s a very sweet and smart puppy but we knew if we didn’t seek training she wouldn’t enjoy the life she was meant to live. ACC was recommended to me and I gave them a call. From the initial conversation to present date, the communication has been delightful. We signed up our sweet puppy for 3 weeks of training and it’s a blessing we did. She has the basic fundamentals that as a family we will continue to build upon. We need more continuous training than the dog, and ACC is there to support. Our 4 y/o Labradoodle just completed 3 weeks of training with Gina and Fabian. We are so impressed and happy with the result. Following several unsuccessful attempts with other professional trainers I found ACC. Gina and Fabian gave all of us the professional, personnel attention and individual instructions that have led to a great outcome. We are very grateful and can now look forward to a happy household. We are very happy we chose Applied Canine Concepts (ACC) for our Catahoula puppy, Dash. His personal trainer, Riley, kept us consistently informed and provided regular—almost daily—updates on Dash’s progress. During the intake check-in, we clearly communicated the skills and behaviors we wanted Dash to learn, and when we picked him up a few weeks later, it was clear those goals had been successfully instilled. At pickup, Riley also took the time to walk us through training instructions so we could continue reinforcing what Dash learned at home. Most importantly, Dash is still the same sweet, fun puppy we love—just better trained and more confident thanks to Riley’s work.
