Herrmann Katja DVM

I have been taking my two dachshunds to Dr. Herrmann for over three years now. Dr. Herrmann is very reliable and compassionate. She takes a special interest in the care of my girls and I trust her diagnosis. She has provided good advice on how to proactively monitor the health of my six-year-old handi-capable dachshund. Even when the office is busy she always takes the time to thoroughly explain the details of my pet situation and explain multiple options to me. I appreciate all she does for my girls!

We have a high level of respect for Dr. Herrmann. We started taking our dogs to her after being less than satisfied with other vets in the area. We appreciate Dr. Herrmann's direct style and her compassion shown toward our dogs. She is thorough and listens to our concerns. We have 2 little dogs, and they always seem happy to see her, and you know what they say about a dog's ability to know who to trust.

STAY FAR AWAY!!!!! If I could give zero stars I would Dr. Hermann is basically a POS. She has zero empathy or concern for you or your pet. I went there unfortunately to euthanize my dear dog that was basically my child. He was a deaf Pitbull i saved. He lived a long happy life and at year six he blew out his meniscus and ACL. I was told surgery would be $6000 and that his other knee would need it soon after. He was in excruciating pain and was becoming dangerous. My wife and my two daughters arrived and were greeted by Dr. Herman and she began to berate me as to why I was putting my dog down. She informed me that he could live to 13. She was trying to insinuate that I was wrong and that I hadn’t thought it through. She was abrasive and down right mean. She should have her license pulled.

For over 10 years we have used Dr. Katja Hermann to provide emergency and regular care for our Ocicats. Dr. Hermann is a capable, compassionate and sensitive Doctor. She diagnoses and tests onsite with a self-contained lab, this is a huge benefit as results come in quickly. The nominal difference in cost for “emergency hours” vs “regular hours” makes taking your pet there possible in the evening, weekend and holidays and as a result they are our emergency and primary care choice. We are so impressed with Dr. Hermann and the entire staff, they really love their work and are so very caring, we would not consider going anywhere else.

We brought a German Shepherd puppy in that had been posioned we think by mushrooms, but not sure. She came in early Sunday and my husband was told later that day they she was looking better and you can pick her up tomorrow. She got worse during the night and was bleeding out on Monday. Our regular vet had to call to have her given plasma. It was too late by then! I was out of town and came back Monday. She told "me" that she was fine Sunday evening and she told my husband that she could have come home that evening or be left there for observation. She never told my husband that...and if she did state that then she obviously misdiagnosed the pup. Never did she say that we should let her go, instead she had my husband go to Santa Cruz to get plasma, Yes, true! The pup suffered until sh
