It was discovered that my fur baby Gabe had a tumor and in a very delicate place. From the point of first contact with Dr. Michelle and the staff, I just knew he was in the best and most capable hands. They genuinely care. They took the time to explain everything to me and put my mind at ease. They even stayed late during surgery to make sure they did absolutely everything they could for Gabe. And when I came to pick him up, they thoroughly explained all of the aftercare he would need so I completely understood and left feeling at ease. They provided contact information in case I had any questions during his healing. A day after surgery, they followed up with me to check on him. I can honestly say, I've never met a vet and staff who are so absolutely amazing, caring and compassionate. And

Our 10 year old Husky Lab mix got into some bird seed with raisins. We took her to Allied Emergency Vet in Eau Claire, WI being that it was after our veterinary clinic’s hours. They handled our emergency situation of possible kidney toxicity &/or blockage from bird seed ingestion. It was a very expensive visit. On our follow-up visit the following day with our veterinarian, Dr. Michelle caught the elevated liver levels. She helped us get a regimen of meds going for her. We were even able to give subcutaneous fluids at home. It was literally touch & go for 3-4 days! She’s feeling much better, but we still have some work do! I absolutely LOVE this vet clinic! You can call them and ask for advice and they will give you their complete honesty on what SHOULD be done and answer your questions on the advice you asked for. Very professional, super supportive and helpful, on the phone and in person. If they're not busy when you call and ask if you can be there within a few minutes for a walk-in appt, to help your pup, that is love for an animal! I love how they do things here! Staff at the clinic are always very patient with our nervous dog. We never feel rushed. The doctors are knowledgeable and caring.

My cat had a tumor on his lung. I didn’t know. He was having coughing fits. One morning I woke up and he couldn’t breathe. Called vets everywhere. “Sorry we’re booked” “sorry you have to drive 1.5 hours to the ER”. So I got in my truck and drove him to a random vet. It happened to be Healthy Pet Altoona. Walked in and said “please take him he’s not breathing. He’s dying”. They took him without question. I was sobbing in a room and I could hear them telling their other clients they were so sorry they had to reschedule for an emergency. As a pet parent, I would never ever be upset. Reschedule me. I can do anything a different day if it means they’re trying to save another pet’s life. Since then I’ve had health issues with another cat and they will call and email me way past their scheduled h
