We have used ECAH for all our pets since moving back to the area in 1998. But I will tell you, nothing compares to the experience we had with Dr. Mathers when working through end of life planning, and determining what was best for our Maddie and our family. Her empathy and understanding, along with incredible knowledge and willingness to go above and beyond was second to none. Calling to check in, walking us through hard discussions. When we finally determined there were no other options left to choose that wouldn’t cause Maddie more harm than good, Dr. Mather and one of the amazing vet tech’s came to our home on a Saturday afternoon to euthanize Maddie, surrounded by her kids, favorite toys, and in her favorite spot. It was so peaceful with relaxing music in the background and fireplace

Vets should not show fear of your pet. My dog is 7 year old pitt mix that has never ever bit or attacked anyone. She does have anxiety, I assume from her first two years of life before me. i have 8 grandkids under 9 that have never had a problem. She is very friendly and sweet. I am now looking for a new veteran clinic with more confident veterinarians and assistants.

Following a tooth extraction, it had been a couple days of our beloved cat Jack not eating or moving due to pain. They were able to get us in right away when I called. Everyone was very nice to us and Jack and they made sure we left with medication and fluids in him. Dr.Hundt was kind enough to leave us a voicemail tonight checking in on Jack and letting us know the Saturday doctor knew of him in case we needed anything. I cannot thank them enough for their kindness and how gentle they were with my baby. Will be requesting Dr.Hundt for all future appointments.

Honestly I really liked this vet when I first started bringing my 3 pets about 6 years ago. Over the past 2 years though, the front desk workers seem very irritable and very unwelcoming. It has also become difficult to get prescriptions filled for food in a timely manner and they even mixed up prescriptions between my pets. I started looking into other vets at this point - sad that it went down hill.

Personally, I would not recommend Eau Claire Animal Hospital. I feel as though they viewed my pet as a number and dollar signs, and not a dog needing veterinary care. We suspected my dog had an ear infection, and they were booked 2 weeks out with minimal care or understanding in my concern when I had called. We were able to call and get him assessed the same day by Ark Animal Hospital, who confirmed that he had been dealing with a double ear infection and that it was a good thing we addressed it as soon as possible. I have always felt someone off put when we have addressed our concerns with the vet here, and I would recommended taking your pet elsewhere for future care.
