Critter Creek Farm Sanctuary

We love the monthly Mooket. An all vegan farmers market complete with great food, awesome vendors, and beautiful animals living their best life.

What a unique place! Here, farm animals are saved to live their life out in natural conditions taken care of by many volunteers. Many species are here including dairy cattle and water buffalo and more! A female cow runs leads the herd and keeps everyone in order! She’s the boss! The neighboring acres are permanently preserved and protected natural forest. They hold a monthly vegan food and fun creative local vendor event on the first Sunday of the month, except June, July and August. It runs from 1pm to 4pm. Thanks volunteer Chris for taking some time with me to explain what Critter Creek is about! Life is good with friendly safe animals!

Farmer’s Moo-ket is one of the best events in Gainesville, especially in the cooler months. One day, they will may make a two-lane road to enter the farm, but don’t let that discourage you from going. It is worth the drive for the cows, pigs, and vendors.

Great place, great animals, and a great staff! Lots of vegan vendors, music, games, various arts and craft vendors, and of course, the amazing animals, which you get to pet and feed. It's a sanctuary for animals that have done time in the food industry and have a chance to find some peace and joy in the great outdoors with their new family and friends.
