Barks & Recreation

I recently boarded my dog, Juno, for a week at Barks and Rec and wow! They absolutely blew me away! I am fairly picky about boarding facilities and this one met my standards and beyond! Being able to add on Beyond Daycare a few days is what sealed the deal for me. Such an amazing service and we will utilize that more in the future, along with boarding. I cannot say enough good things about Barks & Recreation!

Very grateful for Jen and her team at Barks and Rec! We had recently adopted a two-year-old pup and were looking for a good trainer to work on a few behaviors we noticed related to walking and interactions. The Barks and Rec team were very quick to respond to our inquiry and get an evaluation and lessons on their schedule. At our initial evaluation, Jen was quick to provide reassurance that our behavior concerns could be easily addressed and estimated only a couple sessions would be needed to get them under control. Within just a few private sessions, Jen was able to educate us so much on the behaviors we were noticing and provide realistic training, expectations, and takeaways to address the behavior. The owner is very accommodating and grooms as per requested. She gives individual attention to all the dogs she grooms and works primarily with small dogs.

Update autumn 2024, I recently had another great stay for my dog. He was happy to go to the facilty and was showing signs of great care upon leaving. Love the cleanliness and attention to care of the dogs. Previously, I've boarded my chihuahua and was grateful to hear good reports on him for his stay. I love their spacious yards for the dogs to really run and play.

Our dog, Poppy, loves Barks and Rec, and so do we! Poppy is always excited to spend a day at daycare or go for boarding when we leave town. Everyone at Barks and Rec is so great with her, attentive and help her to be her best self. Poppy’s confidence increased after we took the Good Dog for Life class and did e-collar training. Jen is always open to our questions and has great suggestions. I cannot suggest Barks and Rec enough to fellow dog parents!
