Animal Wellness Center - Santa Fe

I've taken my pet here in the past. My cat was diagnosed with cat herpes virus. I was given a supplement to give him to curb the flare ups. After about a year he had a really bad flare up. I looked online and all sources stated that this should go away in 1 to 2 weeks. I wanted to call the doctor to confirm this. Rather than just say yes this should subside eventually or no this won't and he'll need additional treatment they refused to answer that question in an attempt to get me to come in and give them money. Absolutely pathetic. I will be going to a different vet from now on.

We love Dr. Apodaca and Bailey! They’ve been so responsive and wonderful to work with over the years. We get the two dogs (one mini poodle and one Aussie poodle) teeth cleaned every other year and shots done there. They are a great team that work there and always professional. The prices are similar to other places in town but with better service. We love coming here

We used to take our dogs here when Dr. Moreau owned it 2 years ago and it was great but since it changed ownership the prices went way up. When I called on a Friday to see if the could get my dog in they told me not until Monday and there would be an additional “urgent care” fee. 3 days later it was still urgent care 🤔 We now go to Eldorado

EXTREMELY DISHONEST VETERINARY CLINIC. Prior to taking our 2 pets to the clinic to get their kennel cough vaccine, we called to get the cost of the visit. We were told it would be about 30 dollars per pet. We asked if there would be an office visit charge and we were told there would not be. Then they charged us $160.00 and were told there is about a $100.00 tech visit charge for the tech to administer the shots to 2 dogs. They also wanted us to subject our old dog, who has no trouble eating hard food and treats, to a several thousand dollar tooth cleaning, which at our dog's age is an unacceptable anesthesia risk. **** EDIT: I read your response which does not relieve you from the responsibility to be honest with your customers when they inquire about charges. Love this vet office. Dental work is way too expensive. It starts at $900 and runs about $70 per extraction, among other charges. 🙃 Absolutely phenomenal service and care for animals, though! My dog recovered incredibly well, and they were available for all my questions and any follow needed. They even have nice heated kennels for puppy recovery. Nice place!
