A Spot in the Sun

I have three Boston terriers who are incredibly bonded and spoiled so kennels at the vet are not an option when we travel. I found Allen on Yelp and he had pretty good reviews. I met with him at his home where he would board my pups over the New Years holiday. I was nervous at first but my dogs were cared for and socialized with other dogs and loved for 6 days straight. I was able to relax during our vacation because Allen kept me up to date with plenty of videos and photos of how everything was going. I would 💯 recommend A Spot in the Sun for pet boarding or daycare. I also feel like I don’t have to stress about going away on vacation anymore because I have found a safe and reliable option. We are so happy we found A Spot in the Sun! We have a very energetic puppy named Penny that loves to play and we can’t keep up! Allen is so calm and kind and Penny is obsessed. She jets out of the car every time we get there and doesn’t look back to even say goodbye. When we pick her up she’s happily exhausted. It’s definitely her home away from home and we are so grateful.

Allen is so great with my dogs Maple & Blaze. He's flexible on drop-off & pick-up times which is so helpful with my changing work schedule. The dogs love playing all day & always come home tired & happy!!

I have a Golden Retriever puppy Murphy who LOVES his days with Allen. He comes home a happy and tired puppy which is amazing. Allen always sends us pictures and updates with how he is doing throughout the day. Murphy is treated like a member of the family. Allen also cared for my older dog Wrigley who was sick and required extra attention and he was amazing, again sending lots of updates when. It was really hard to leave him. We don’t know what we would do without Allen!

Our puppy had the best stay with A Spot in the Sun, Allen and his family took her in as their own. We were worried boarding Megatron for the first time, not knowing how’d she react and behave. We were reassured with photos and videos throughout the stay. Megatron loves Allen and his family so much that she’s super excited whenever she goes back for daycare and boarding.
