Wildthunder wildlife and animals rehabilitation

Questionable Care, lack of Vet care, too many animals. This org brings in 6 figures a year but still appears the funding is not going to the animals enrichment and vet care like it should. 0 transparency with funds and animals who just disappear. Where do the dead wildlife and domestics go, have heard professional cremation is not used and the dead are fed to wildlife or thrown in a pit. Lots of failed inspections. I do not recommend animals going there. She has euthanasia fluid and there are real concerns about euthanasia out of convenience or because neglected animals there become costly or to reduce numbers as they do not have enough qualified people to handle all the animals, the wildlife of course needs extra care or they shouldn’t be there and domestics sometimes need round the clock

Shout out to Wildthunder Wildlife & Animal Rehabilitation & Sanctuary!! My kiddos found a bald eagle on the ground in our woods on Saturday. The kids said that she was in the same spot on Sunday so I checked it out and poor bird was clearly distressed. I called all the numbers I could find (raptor rescue, DNR, animal control) but finally got a real person who was able to help today. Tracy dropped her plans for the afternoon and drive 45 min to help this bird. Thank you, Tracey!! We are praying that our pretty girl makes it!! Thank you to all the volunteers and donors who support this great organization!!

So sad to see some of the unnecessary low star reviews that are spreading hate rather than positivity and encouragement. This is a 100% volunteer run non-profit. That means that no one is paid and everyone is working on a volunteer basis. Sometimes this can cause delays in communication, so please be patient with the process! Everything is for the animals. Everyone involved in this non profit is doing the best they can with what they have- what- this team has huge hearts. Take the time to actually go out and volunteer or get more involved with what is happening here in small town NE Iowa and maybe you will gain some perspective. Or don’t, and continue living your life thinking that this small non-profit is here to harm rather than help.

Absolutely love wildthunder!! I got my dog from there and she was a neglected dog that was starved, they took amazing care of her nursing her back to health and she is an amazing dog! They go above and beyond to do what they can to help. ❤️

The people that run it are kinda creepy and give off a weird vibe one of the guys came to look at our baler we were selling. Also multiple of our neighbors dogs that don’t normally run have ended up there somehow. Also place is a dump and seems like a little picking up could go a long way and that a trailer house probably isn’t the best place for a lot of injured animals
