Independence Veterinary Clinic

My dog developed severe diarrhea that did not respond to at-home treatment, so I felt it was necessary for her to be evaluated by a veterinarian. I contacted the clinic I have always taken her to outside of Vinton, but they declined to see her. I even offered to drop her off for their convenience, but they still refused. Given that they identify as an animal hospital, I was surprised they would not accommodate an urgent situation for a long-standing client. I then contacted Independence Veterinary Clinic, explained the situation, and was advised to bring her in immediately—despite the fact that they had never seen her before. The care my dog received was excellent. Dr. Natalie Stout was exceptional; she was thorough, compassionate, and made me feel completely at ease. I am truly grateful

First, I was the one who called for the appointments for our new kitten and I always started every phone call with saying my name and then my fiancé's name (did this with 3 separate appts!). They didn't bother to add me to the account, they already had my fiancé's info from his previous pet prior to our relationship so just ignored my existence or the fact that I was the co-pet parent, but I didn't find out about this lack of proper account management until after we got upset with them for a separate issue and I called to cancel our kittens next appt and asked for a copy of our kitten's medical records to give to our new vet, suddenly I could cancel the appt but I was then notified I wasn't on the account so they refused to talk to me or release the records to me, they would only talk to m

Our cat needed to be seen asap and Independence veterinary was able to get him in right away even though they were not our primary veterinary. The whole staff was very friendly and caring. The vet called us after surgery to let us know he did good and was resting. They took great care of Carmel and stitched him up, made sure he was well cared for overnight. Called us the next day to pick him up. I would recommend them .

Staff is always very kind, willing to listen to you and answer your questions. Explain any issues your pet might have and work with you to make sure they get the proper care they need. They treat your pets as if they were their own. Very professional, helpful, and caring in all situations.

This review is specific to Dr. Eike and Salina. I will explain below, but Dr. Eike is the best. We followed her from her previous employer and would do so again if she were to ever leave here. Dr. Eike defines the words "empathetic professional". She understands that our Cats are our family and treats them as such. We have always felt that our needs are the most important thing in the world to Dr. Eike, and this is demonstrated in her true investment in the care of our babies. When one of our Cats, who was very ill, had to go to the 24 hour emergency vet, Dr. Eike offered to speak with the doctor, even though it was late at night and way after hours. She gives of herself like no other vet we know, and we are true supporters, and fans, of her. Salina is part of Dr. Eike's team, and we ar
