I cannot say enough about the staff at West Mountain Kennels and the care our dog receives while staying there. Melissa and the staff truly get our dog and his quirks and know how to best care for him and engage him during his stays. He is always excited and happy when we take him for a boarding visit and he loves being reunited with the staff. I have complete peace of mind when I drop him off and do not worry about him at all while he is in their care. We have been boarding him exclusively at West Mountain Kennels since our life changing board & train experience there in 2020. Ed Larkin and the rest of the staff were so wonderful. Without them I have no idea how Scout's life would have been. Scout had issues and with Ed' s help and guidance Scout lived a wonderfully balanced life. Thank you SO much. As a matter of fact, I have another rescue who will be going to West Mountain shortly. I have no doubt Ed and his staff will be able to help Benjamin.

Our Samoyed, Rosie, a notoriously stubborn breed, was referred to Ed Larkin and West Mountain Kennels by our vet, Dr. Paul Schwartz of Millbrook, NY. She was primarily in the hands of Ed and Melissa from November to December 2018. We visited her for our own training three times during her month’s residence and on each occasion found her happy, playful and generally in a great mood. When she finally—and it was a really long time for all of us— returned to us she was the same playful, joyous, good-natured, stubborn Rosie but was now able to be safely off-leash in Central Park and to walk with a slack leash on the streets of New York.
