Dr. Biel and Dr. Russell are fantastic, knowledgeable, incredibly kind, reasonable, and absolutely willing to answer questions and concerns. The front office staff and vet techs are incredibly nice, and do an excellent job. I've been going here for abt 2 yrs, and I have recommended this practice to EVERYONE. They go ABOVE AND BEYOND. A year ago, I found an injured kitten in the road, clearly just recently hit or thrown from a car. He needed immediate medical care. My dog had recently had a 10k ER STAY at another vet, and there was no way I could afford another giant ER bill so soon, especially on an animal that wasn't even mine. But, there was no way I was leaving him in the road. So, I grabbed him up, and called Vol Vet. They knew me from my biweekly visits with my own dog for follo

My wife and I have been taking our pets to volunteer vet together for the last 7 years, and before that, she had been going there with her family for the majority of her life. Here’s just a few issues we’ve had within the last year, causing us to choose a new vet: - A few months ago, one of our dogs started having seizures. We ended up putting him on a medium strength dose of seizure medicine. This helped for a month, but then one Friday night, he just started having the seizures again. As soon as he would start to relax and lay down, he would have another seizure. This continued overnight. We called our vet in the morning right when they opened, and the vet told us to just up the dosage (which we had already done the previous day). We told him that we increased the dosage, and it hadn’t

I have so many positive experiences to share about this place I’ll try to keep it short and sweet. The first time I went in, I had just saved a tiny kitten. I didn’t have an appointment but I went in as soon as they opened and they managed to squeeze me in. I had to wait, but I didn’t have an appointment so that was way more than fair. After that day I made them my home vet for both my cats. My oldest cat has bladder issues, as most male cats do. They’ve always been more than accommodating in managing that chronic issue with him. It took one visit and one medical plan four years ago to kept him from having bladder flair ups. They’ve always been kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. They truly are an honest establishment that cares about your pet vs your wallet. If you’re looking for a forever

All if the vets are wonderful. My dogs have been seeing Dr. Bihl for 20+ years. Dr. Harbin and Dr. Russell have also seen my Boxer and Belgian Malinois mix. Dr. Bihl saw our family through an inoperable brain tumor of our boxer, Floyd, with practical and compassionate care. Dr. Russell removed several tumers off my Boxer, Sydney, and did wonderful, dental surgery that changed her quality of life. Dr. Harbin has diagnosed torn acl for both the Boxer and Malinois needing TPLO. Stacy and the staff are wonderful and give the personal touch. Would highly recommend this business and the caregivers who are part of it.

needed to take my cat in because I noticed something happening with his eye and volunteer veterinary Hospital was close by and we were looking to switch because we wanted to find something closer. From the moment I brought my cat into the exam room they were extremely aggressive with how they handled him. They were holding him by his neck the entire time, and he was screaming and flailing around. The vet tech was holding him so hard that his hair was coming out and instead of just letting him go to calm down, they continued to hold him by his neck up in the air and make it worse. I have never in my life experience something like this. I have another cat that I have taken to Central veterinary Hospital off Mill Road and I’ve had wonderful experiences with how they treat my cat and are so ki
