This is truly some of the best specialized veterinary service available. Our pup is extremely anxious and does NOT like going to the vet, but Dr. Ortiz and her technician were absolutely amazing. They did an outstanding job calming her down and ensuring the necessary procedures were completed smoothly. The eye examination was incredibly thorough. What impressed me most was their level of communication: they took the time to listen to all my concerns, clearly describing the background for each procedure, the expected outcomes, and the action plan. The clinic itself is also very clean and well appointed. I would highly recommend this practice. We were so pleased that we already have our follow-up appointment scheduled.

We took our bulldog Romeo here when he was diagnosed with glaucoma. From the initial visit until recovery from removal of his eyes the entire staff was top notch. They cared deeply, explained everything very well and Romeo received the best care possible. He is getting a long fine without eyesight.

My mom and I have both taken our cats to the Ocala VEI location. VEI came highly recommended by my primary veterinarian. Dr. Ortiz and the vet techs are all very friendly, knowledgeable, and took great care of our kitties. They did a wonderful job of handling and treating my formerly feral cat who is scared of people she doesn't know, and it shows that they care about their patients.
