Run and his from this place!!! They're only intention is to pluck you off your money. They'll quote you a price, and lie about that. I found them injecting expired medicine, and while I was there that action caused a dog to die. As I watched, they proceeded to them berate the owner to the tune of $1,500 dollars to cover their expenses. Even after they admitted the mistake, and the vet doctor along with the administration ladies told him to dig up a credit card, prior to digging a grave in the desert for his pet! Un-freaking believable, right!

I'm baffled by some of the bad reviews because I have had nothing but the best experience and service from VCA Desert Hospital. I'm not friends/family with anyone that works there so my experience and review is purely as a paying client. My dog was into her senior years when I started coming to VCA and I enrolled her in the Care Club. I realize this may not be an option for some people, but it's such good preventative care and it amortizes costs which takes the sting out of routine pet visits since I paid a reasonable amount monthly. I truly saved money in the long run. It made dental care affordable and all the exams, blood work, x-rays, and vaccines are included. Took our dog here for an annual check-up health certificate (to travel to Mexico) and have her nails clipped. Really efficient and friendly service. The Veterinary Assistant that looked after us was Jana and she could not have been nicer. Our dog HATES going to the vet, but everyone was patient and kind. A great resource in downtown Palm Springs.

They saved our precious dog’s life when he drowned in a pool while we were visiting Palm Springs. Shannon at the front desk saw our poor limp wet dog, immediately dropped what she was doing, and without a word, whisked him away to have emergency care. They were so caring, and Dr Goldstein was crucial in making sure Toaster stayed alive and out of shock well enough to get to more extended care at VCA Valley. Also helped source a pet ambulance when it was clear that he wouldn’t make the drive to a 24h facility in a car. He is alive and recovering. We even found out they called VCA Valley to find out how he was doing later—they truly cared about him and his outcome independently of whether they were in front of us or not. The people in the boarding department are so amazing. I can’t thank them enough for all the loving care they gave to our dog Malachi while we were on a special getaway. They sent us pictures and let us know how he was doing. So many wonderful people who work there I can’t name all the names. Thank you!
