I have been going to UPTOWN GROOMING for 2 years. Here’s my unbiased review with pros and cons! QUALITY/CARE: My dog is treated like the princess she is! Her hair is done with care & it always turns out so good! PRICE: they are the MOST AFFORDABLE dog groomer I have been too!P.S. They only accept CASH!! AVAILABILITY: NOW they STAY BUSY! if I call on a Tuesday, I can guarantee they can get my dog in the next 1-2 business days! CUSTOMER SERVICE: the groomers are super sweet and they actually listen to what I want done for my dog. CONS: CASH ONLY. honestly, this is not a bad thing I just didn’t know they didn’t accept debit cards until I went to pay and then had to run and get money out from 🏧 lol. I’m sure they do it because people may try to dispute with their bank to get a free serv

This was my first time taking my dog here for grooming. They did a phenomenal job! He looks great! Very reasonable prices! Very impressive!

The owner butchered my wife's dog! Our groomer moved out of town so we needed a new one tried them what a mistake! Dropped dog off at 2:20 didnt get him back until 7:20 gave her a picture of how he should look even went over it step by step how she wanted each area cut! She even cut into his undercoat! When told he looked nothing like picture she stated she did her best! Wouldn't recommend anyone take their dog there for even a shave to the skin!

I brought my golden retriever in mostly because I wanted the matte in her fur behind her right ear removed and her paws trimmed. They also bathed and brushed out her under-coat, which they seem to have done a good job with, however... My doggy was there for 5 and a half hours, the matte is still there behind her ear and only 3 of her paws were trimmed, they missed her back left paw completely. Plus her right ear now looks like this (see picture). I could have done better on her ears at home with kitchen scissors.

The groomer I went to is called Uptown Hound on South E in Richmond. Maybe a name change. Anyway the groomer was awesome. My mom passed and she always took care of her dog and my grandpa's dogs haircuts. I live an hour away and realized in his old age grandpa spaced the dogs grooming needs. Onset of alzheimers to be honest. Well I called the shop and explained to her what the issue was and set an appointment. They were shaggy like I had never seen them. The shop gladly took them in without batting an eye at the work ahead. They came out looking tremendous. She really helped those pups out and for a fair price. Very friendly, confident groomer. She has a customer for the life of the dogs for sure. Thank you
