Union County Animal Shelter

I adopted STELLA just over six weeks ago. The process was quick and easy. We were unable to locate her microchip at the vets. We went back yesterday to inquire and, after they were unable to locate it, have her a new one. There folks show great concern for animals and do a great job.

I dont know the rules of a shelter. I am not very familiar with them. My daughter went and got a dog from them and quickly realized the dog didn't get a long with other dogs and it was necessary because she would need to go to daycare when my daughter worked. But if shes not getting along with other dogs daycare won't keep her. Of course my daughter was absolutely heart broken. She cried as if she had the dog for years but it doesn't take long to attach yourself to a pet and she had been wanting one since forever. She called the shelter prior to bringing her back and they didn't sound very happy about it but she couldn't help it. When she got the dog there. They flat out told her they would have to put her down and asked her if she was ok with that? My daughter was visibly upset about havi

We love volunteering at the shelter! All of the staff are friendly. We can't imagine how difficult their jobs are day in and day out. They do such a great service for each animal in their care.

We got our kitten, Scottie, a stray, last week and is a wonderful addition to our family. Thank you Union County Animal Services for our kitten. He’s a climber, loves playing, cuddling, eating and sleeping. We are in love. I’d recommend them to anyone looking for a nice pet.
