Thompson Animal Hospital

Absolutely disgusted. My daddy's dog, Darby, was a patient of Dr. Thompson's for over 12 years. I called today to get an appointment to have him put down. I explained to the receptionist what was going on and apparently, the do not accept emergency appointments. So, if you're furbaby is a patient here, just know that it's a fair weather vet's office. I'm not sure what's happened over the past several years, but he was always my babies vet until we moved to Lancaster and switched to Faulkners Animal Hospital. Even though Darby was not their patient, the saw him today and gently helped with him. I highly advise that everyone goes to Faulkner's. I would definitely recommend Thompson animal hospital because they are very knowledgeable friendly and genuinely care for your ever so loved pets. We recently got a puppy and brought him straight to Thompson animal hospital where they gave him his shots and flea and worm medicine. I got the same feeling I get when I take my kids to their pediatrician, stellar professionalism and very kind staff

I hope there was a 10 star review, I have unfortunately go through the process of putting a pet to sleep a few times, but this is the first one I’ve ever feel so much empathy for what we were going through, the staff was professional yet very kind, they gave us the best alternative not only for us but my elderly cat, we went today for his remains and the way they delivered literally brought tears from us, they went the extra mile, think about everything, we got a beautiful bag with his paw print, signed card with notes from the star and a little bag of his hair… it was amazing, thank you so much !!!

Dr. Thompson and his crew were very polite and professional!! You can tell they love their furry friends. Our kitty was very anxious and they made sure it was quick and even soothed him by holding him, distracting him during shots to reduce the sting, and held him by the window for him to look outside at the birds. Would highly recommend for compassion and affordability!!

I had used the same vet for 10 years with both of my dogs until one of them was having continued problems with ear infections and hematomas. They told me after 2 surgeries for draining that her ears were end of life that she needed to have a total ear ablation that would’ve cost me a couple thousand and she wouldn’t be able to hear as well. I took her to Dr thompson for a second opinion and he didn’t think they were at end of life so we did one more surgery. Now we are over a year without any more fluid build up. The bonus part is she likes Dr Thompson and his staff and isn’t as nervous as she was at the previous vet.
