What an incredible locally owned store! The staff are so friendly, involved in the community, intelligent and have real world knowledge from caring for these animals both in the work place and the store. You won’t get another experience like this at any of the chain stores in town and their prices are better also. This is a place that feels like home and never ceases to surprise you with the different kinds of animals you’ll see. Rhea and Cass know all the relevant care information and will make sure you are well taken care of. I refuse to shop anywhere else for my animals.

I went into this store to get some dubia roaches for my Daughter’s bearded dragon. As i was looking around there was a bearded dragon I decided i wanted to get. This bearded dragon was just surrendered to them. She wasn’t in the best condition but I still wanted her. They wouldn’t sell her to me just yet because they wanted to make sure she was going to survive. I told them as soon as she was ready to let me know. 2 weeks later I got my beared dragon. She was now eating live bugs and worms. She still needed some weight but i knew i could get her weight on. I love that they were honest and made sure she was going to survive before they would sell her to me. These people are very honest. I buy what my dragon needs from this place and will continue to do so as long as they remain open. Great

Amazing place!!! Staff knows a lot! They take pride and care of their animals and they are a great store and nice people. Did wish they answered my text about info on some things and very hard to get there with my work schedule and them not open a lot but overall it’s a amazing store and great people

I love this Pet Store! I find myself driving an hour away at least a few times a month! They have an amazing fish selection and can get almost any pet you want! The owner and all the employees so nice, professional, helpful, and understanding. All of their creatures in the store are very well cared for and I've never brought a diseased fish home! I recommend Tropical Island Pets over any Pet Store!

Very knowledgeable. Helpful staff, always willing to assist, whether they have in stock or will advise where to get something. Willing to stock based on customer feedback. The staff there actually know their animals and how to properly take care of them,unlike alot of the big box type stores. You can tell they spend a lot of time caring for these animals.
