Sam was an awesome help and super accommodating. We wanted to take our dog on our flight but we knew he was very reactive to other dogs and so we used Sam's services to help learn tactics on how to avoid big outbursts and it was a huge help in avoiding situations we would have otherwise had. He is very thoughtful and really thinks about how the dog feels/thinks in the way he teaches. He also has a ton of equipment (leashes, collars etc) he sells which helped tremendously control our dog better. Will definitely be using Sam's services again if we find ourselves back in Tahoe.

Sam is the best! We were looking for someone who could train our dog to be great on trails and Sam was the perfect fit. We started lessons the day our puppy could finally go outside for walkies and it was the best decision we could've made. We had a serious puller on our hands (she's part husky - sled dog energy!) and Sam was able to get her into a heal within the first 15 mins of our walk, it was honestly amazing. As we kept learning with Sam we transitioned to the e-collar, which was another great decision and possibly even saved her life after a recent walk when Lilly bolted toward an aggressive dog, but the e-collar got her to come back before she made contact with the other dog. Sam is great with dogs and people and I'd recommend him to anyone looking to improve your dog's behavior

We have two small puppies that needed manners. We found Sam on line and started working with him in January and signed up for 8 lessons. He listens to what you want to achieve during the lessons, he checks in to see if the lesson that was completed was to your liking, and gives instant feedback to not only the dogs interaction, but on how we, as the dog owners, can help in the success of the task at hand. He showed us collars and handling techniques that were instrumental in the success of their training and behavior. Sam is cool, calm, and so knowledgeable in dog behavior (and the owners (us) short falls)😂. We drove down from North Lake Tahoe and it was well worth the trips. Thanks Sam!!

We got our Alaskan Malamute puppy during Covid and then fire evacuation. So unfortunately, living in the mountains, she didn't get to meet alot of dogs or people. She was scared of other dogs. If another dog showed any aggressive behavior she would summoned her wolf ancestry! Ha! And put an end to it! So finally, after years of agony on walks and hikes, we looked for a trainer for her and my wife! Ha! Thankfully I picked up Sam's business card at Sierra Vets office. Sam was fantastic! He basically speaks dog! We're very thankful for the time and patience he showed in correcting her negative behavior. We highly recommend his technique. Now we can enjoy our walks and hikes on and off leash!

Sam trained my dog, Honey, and worked with us on her behavioral issues. He was great at explaining and teaching his techniques, so I can learn how to implement them with Honey. After consistent lessons with Sam, Honey has improved drastically! He also trained us with off-leash walking and Honey now has great recall. Sam is such a gifted and talented dog trainer and I’m so grateful for his help. I guarantee anyone who works with Sam will see major improvement with their dog!
